Driving Directions:
Beaver Island is Approximately 25 miles from Charlevoix. You can
reach the Island by Ferry (which allows family vehicles), airplane
or by boat. Lighthouse is on north side in St James Harbor

Beaver Island Harbor or the St. James Lighthouse was established in
1870. This conical brick tower stands 41 feet high, and was created
for mariners to find refuge from hazardous weather. In 1956, the dwelling
was torn down, and now only the tower stands to be photographed. The
light is still active, and can be accessed by ferry from the mainland.
