Built in 1847, Whitefish Point was the first lights on Lake Superior and was the spot of the tragic shipwreck of Edmund Fitzgerald in November 1975. A beautiful steel skeleton structure with a massive two story house attached. Inside the Keeper's dwelling lives a museum highlighting famous Great Lake Shipwrecks.
