Driving Directions: Light is off Southern middle of Isle Royale, 2 miles from Schooner Island in Siskiwit Bay. Accessible by Ferry from Copper Harbor, Houghton Michigan or from Grand Portage Minnesota or by boat. |
Built in 1875 and is active. Constructed mostly with rough stone with
a two story house attached. Lighthouse is reachable by boat. This is
a very rustic and attractive piece of Michigan history.
