Driving Directions: 30 Miles north of Marquette on 550 to Lake Independence. Turn east on Dam Road or KCB. Turn north on KD Road to Big Bay Point and lighthouse. |
Established in 1896, Big Bay Point Lighthouse is now privately owned.
Light itself is 65 ft with a large attached 2-story brick house. Work
began to build the lighthouse in 1893 and cost $25,000 to complete.
