Ile Aux Galets (Skillagalee) Lighthouse was established in 1888. This octagonal brick lighthouse is still an active navigational aid, and it is not open to the public. Access is by boat. The tower is the only remaining portion of this once large light station. In 1969 the quarters and outbuildings were torn down.
