There is not a sameness to any two holes on the Red Hawk course, thanks to both the diverse site and the artistry of Arthur Hills taking full advantage of what nature had to offer. Even though the length from the championship tees may appear short at 6,589 yards, it is a compelling par 71 layout providing plenty of challenge to the low handicap golfer. This course calls for thoughtful strategy and accurate shot making to lush bent grass fairways. Bunkering is minimal but magnificent, and sometimes it might seem magnetic!
The four sets of tees and the generous landing areas let players make an appropriate choice befitting their skill level and allows everyone the chance to enjoy their round. However, Red Hawk is also the type of course that seduces the golfer to play a risky shot and challenge the hole, and if successful, the golfer is rewarded! Red Hawk is a classic golf course built in the style of the great courses which were designed in the 1920's and 30's.
