Peche Island was established in 1908 and today is inactive, but open for display. It is of conical design and made from cast iron. It is accessible by car. Although it was originally displayed at Peche Island near Belle Isle, in the 1980's the light was nearly collapsed and was replaced at this spot. However, it was rescued and taken to Marine City where it now stands on the banks of the St. Clair River.
